• I kept the boat cruising along around 15 knots along the east coast of the lake for several hours. Jess sat beside me, resting on the flybridge's lounge. I steered out into slightly deeper waters until the shore was just a small line on the horizon. Setting the anchor, I killed the engines and secured the flybridge. Jess and I went onto the main deck where the main bridge and galley were. By this time she was back to her normal self, laughing and cutting up with me as we made a quick meal of sandwiches and chips.
• When we came up here with the family our room was normally in the starboard cabin, across the companionway from the master cabin. In that cabin there were two separate twin beds so that if Jess woke up in the middle of the night I'd be near if she needed me. Tonight, however, we were going to use the master cabin.
• Unfortunately, neither of the showers in either two heads were large enough for both of us so we had to settle for separate quick showers. As I stepped into the bedroom, Jess was already under the covers. We turned off the lights and I climbed in beside her.
